NOLA Mix Records celebrates its first year with a party and a new mix.

Earlier this summer, we talked to DJ Yamin, Quickie Mart, and Tony Skratchere about NOLA Bounce Breaks, Vol. 1 at NOLA Mix Records. Yamin runs NOLA Mix, and the story ends with video of him scratching live with the bounce beats EP, showing off how it could be used. At the time of the story, the EP was almost sold out. Now, a limited edition colored vinyl in on sale as well.

Yamin has invited a number of DJs and other music people including me to spin vinyl on the in-house turntables on Saturday afternoons, and on Saturday, September 17, he'll amp up the DJ firepower when NOLA Mix celebrates its itsfirst year anniversary from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with drinks, cake, giveaways. The day will also include DJ sets from A Lovely Triangle, DJ Doug Funny, DJ Nice Rack, Tony Skratchere, Jneiro Jarel and DJ K Nice of Viberian Experience, and DJ Ruby.

To help get people in the mood, DJ Yamin has dropped a funky birthday DJ mix.
