Tuesday: Frontier Ruckus, Coyotes, 9 p.m., Gasa Gasa: Frontier Ruckus’ Sitcom Afterlife could be thought of as indie Americana, but the songs have an attractive post-Wilco fragility and rock ’n’ roll gestures that suggest broader influences. This is NOLA returns Friday to celebrate New Orleans’ indie culture at the Joy Theater with food, art, and music by Sweet Crude, Boyfriend, Tysson and Quickie Mart. The show’s free and starts at 8 p.m. (information)
Wednesday night, we present the My Spilt Milk Caroling Pub Crawl. The annual event starts at the Kingpin at 7 p.m. for a warm-up drink, then we wander the neighborhood and Magazine Street, sharing Christmas cheer with people whether they want it or not. Singing talent is helpful but not crucial. (information)
