This week's "Freshly Spilt Milk" Soundcloud playlist includes new music from Mozambo, The Indien, Peter Broderick, Maribou State, and more.

1. “Done” – The Indien: The Indien is a relatively undiscovered Dutch band that has captured a folk rock sound with tambourines, driving percussion, and a female vocalist with a big, soulful twang.

2. “Turn Your Light On Me” – The Night VI: Recorded at RAK, The Fish Factory & The Workshop Studios, “Turn Your Light On Me” is a ringing indie track that has effusive vocals similar to MisterWives.

3. “Over Mountains” – Bouquet: The droning pad behind Bouquet’s track, “Over Mountains” superbly complements the delicate vocals, analog drumbeats, and thoughtful guitars. This track succinctly captures the feeling behind the EP’s title, In a Dream.

4. “The Reconnection” – Peter Broderick: Patrick Broderick’s bare, acoustic single, “The Reconnection,” is a wholesome glimpse into his longing for something lost, and his anticipation for the future. It is a fitting release from his album, Colours of the Sky, which will be his first new work in more than two years.

5. “Look Up” – Mas Ysa: Mas Ysa has just announced a US tour and to kick it off, he has released “Look Up.” It’s an upbeat fringe pop song with thumping toms, clean vocals, and heavily filtered guitars.

6. “Raincoats” – Maribou State: With careful orchestration of hovering synths and filtered vocals over crisp percussion, Maribou State has created a very intriguing track. It is a release from the London duo’s debut album due out June 2 on Counter Records.

7. “Childhood (feat. Larry Lunch)” – Møme: Breakbeat rhythms and effective vocal sampling characterize this new song from Møme, which features a powerful vocalist named Larry Lynch. The Cosmopolitan EP was released March 9 via DDM Recordings.

8. “Cool (feat. Roy English) [Sweater Beats Remix]” – Alesso: Sweater Beats just put his signature breakbeat, booty-bouncing style to work on Alesso’s single “Cool.” This release precedes Alesso’s forthcoming, yet to be named, solo album.

9. “Bright Side (feat. Julia Church) – Mozambo & Basic Tape: This optimistic house tune is sweet, but not too sweet, with lines like: “Get your shit together / Cheer up smoke a cigarette.”

10. “Break Yourself (feat. Far East Movement) – Hook N Sling: Hook N Sling are getting away from their typical big room and progressive house sound with this springtime, deep house jam. Loaded with fat bass lines, this single is not one to miss.
