Last Night: Spoon, Prine and Modest Mouse

This weekend was busy at the Civic Theatre, and photographers Patrick Ainsworth and Steven Hatley were there for Spoon, John Prine and Modest Mouse.

Sunday night, our Spoon tickets contest winner Jessica Magee wrote on Twitter, "What a great show, loved every minute!" And she wasn't alone. It doesn't sound like they played more than one new song if any at their show at the Civic Theatre, but nobody on social media seemed disappointed. 

Spoon came in the middle of a busy weekend at the Civic with folk hero John Prine on Friday and Modest Mouse on Monday. Prine has a new album, The Singing Mailman Delivers, and new albums are expected from Spoon and Modest Mouse. The former have definitely finished recording and have it in the offing; the latter's status is less clear.
