Friday night, Al “Carnival Time” Johnson will celebrate his 75th birthday at The Mother-in-Law Lounge with a jam. Johnson’s known for one song, but he’s also an accomplished piano player and singer of classic New Orleans R&B. Hopefully, he’ll break some of that out as a present for us.
Sunday night, comedians Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim of Tim and Eric Awesome Show on Adult Swim will visit The Howlin’ Wolf Sunday with their “swamp rock” band, Pusswhip Banggang, which just released their “hit,” “Jambalaya,” as a vinyl 12-inch picture disc.
