Win Credentials to Voodoo 2015

Florence and the Machine, Jack Ü, Deadmau5, and Ozzy Osbourne with Slash, Tom Morello, and Geezer Butler top the bill for this year's Voodoo Music and Arts Experience, and we have a pair of weekend credentials to give away.

[Updated] When Florence and the Machine headlined this year's Glastonbury festival--because scheduled headliners the Foo Fighters had to withdraw--The Guardian's Alexis Petridis wrote:

Bumped up the bill as a result of Dave Grohl’s broken leg, she doesn’t so much seize the moment as wrestle it to the ground. She repeatedly ventures into the crowd, much to the consternation of the bouncers. She puts a flower garland on her head, proffered by a fan. She encourages audience members to clamber on their partners’ shoulders. She asks the audience if they want to get high: this being Glastonbury, the answer is a resounding yes. She dedicates a cover of the Foo Fighters’ Times Like These to the band’s leader, “who was so incredibly supportive and kind to us”. She talks about ley lines. She reminisces about the days when she played in an outlying tea tent at the festival, “but I had a feeling everything was beautiful”. She throws shapes, barefoot and clad in a white trouser suit, backlit by orange lights: there are moments when she throws shapes with such abandon that we seem perilously close to the world of interpretative dance.

Florence and the Machine will headline the opening night of this year's Voodoo Music and Arts Experience on Friday, October 30, along with the Skrillex-Diplo team-up, Jack Ü. The latter made news by helping Justin Bieber enter musical adulthood with "Where Are U Now," and most recently they invited British R&B singer Craig David to join them onstage in London's Alexandra Palace for a surprise vocal and rap on the song.

This year's festival features Voodoo's broadest lineup, with Ozzy Osbourne headlining Halloween with Black Sabbath's Geezer Butler, Slash, and Tom Morello on one stage while Swedish House Mafia's Steve Angello finishes on the Le Plur Stage. Sunday, Deadmau5 closes the festival and follows the country rock of Zac Brown. We're looking forward to Peaches, Joey Bada$$ with The Soul Rebels, Django Django, Jason Isbell, and Zhu, whose most recent recording also includes Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and Trombone Shorty.
