Thursday: Nipsey Hussle, 10 p.m., The Howlin’ Wolf: The L.A. rapper, who has been featured on tracks by nearly every West Coast legend, found success with his last mixtape, Crenshaw. He plans to release his debut studio album later this year (tickets).

Larger than life comic, Ralphie May, has gone far since finishing runner-up on the first season of Last Comic Standing. Saturday night he performs stand-up at the Civic Theatre (tickets).

Musically Speaking presents Moro No Brasil, a documentary that explores the diversity of Brazilian music, particularly the country's eclectic rhythms, Monday, 7 p.m. at Gasa Gasa (tickets).

Thursday at 7 p.m., House of Blues holds a benefit for long time sound engineer, Gary Druihet, who suffered from a stroke while working a benefit concert in late December. The show will feature a solo performance by Dr. John
