Foo Fighters, Outkast, Skrillex and Arctic Monkeys to Play Voodoo

This year's Voodoo Music Experience takes place on the Halloween weekend, and the lineup is out.

Recently, Foo Fighters made news when they played a show in Preservation Hall for the crowds outside on St. Peter Street. This fall, the band will have a new album out in October with tracks recorded in New Orleans, Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, Seattle and Washington, D.C., and the making of the album will be the subject of the upcoming HBO series Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways. The band will return to New Orleans on the October 31 weekend to play the Voodoo Music Experience, along with the reunited Outkast, Skrillex, and Arctic Monkeys. 

This year’s festival will once again take place in City Park, but Voodoo's footprint will be modified from last year. It will be larger and stages will be moved, presumably to help deal with last year's soundbleed from stage to stage. The musical lineup will include Zedd, Pretty Lights, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Slayer, AWOLNATION, Rise Against, Flux Pavilion, Fedde Le Grand, Gogol Bordello, Death from Above 1979, City and Colour, Claude VonStroke, Manchester Orchestra, Galantis, Booka Shade DJ Set, Pete Tong, Twenty One Pilots, Thomas Gold, Action Bronson, Trombone Shorty and Orleans Ave., The Melvins, Bleachers, Griz, Congorock, Fishbone, Makj, Fuel, Herobust, Le Youth, Big Freedia, GIVERS, Rebirth Brass Band, Red Baraat, Barcelona, Thomas Newson, The Wild Feathers, Wild Cub, Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors, Royal Teeth, Bonerama, The Soul Rebels, Barely Alive, Trent Cantrelle, Manic Focus, World/Inferno Friendship Society, The London Souls, Peelander-Z, Lindsay Lowend, ASTR, Flow Tribe, The Tontons, Honey Island Swamp Band, Sturgill Simpson, Benjamin Booker, Desert Noises, Dirty Bourbon River Show, Bo Ningen, Tysson, Quintron and Miss Pussycat, Yung Nation, Speak, Hello Negro, Carmine P. This year will mark the first time that Voodoo will be presented by Live Nation and not Rehage Entertainment. Festival promoter Stephen Rehage accepted an executive position with Live Nation's festivals division last October.
