Other Stuff

This weekend, the Old U.S. Mint is the site of Satchmo SummerFest, where there will be music on two stages that will be loosely related to Louis Armstrong. Since Armstrong did so much that almost everything except Einstürzende Neubauten could perform.

Last night, comedian Jen Kirkman appeared on Comedy Central's @Midnight; Saturday night, she'll perform at Cafe Istanbul. (tickets)

When Justin Timberlake last played New Orleans during Super Bowl weekend 2013, he performed with the easy confidence of a guy who'd won life. He returns to the Smoothie King Center Sunday night, and reports from the tour suggest that the details have changed but the big picture remains the same. (tickets)
