Win Tickets to the Orpheum's One-Year Anniversary

We have a pair of tickets to give away to Saturday night's show with Jon Cleary and the Absolute Monster Gentlemen and a number of guests.

This time last year, Tipitina's Foundation's Mary Von Kurnatowski was giving My Spilt Milk an advance look at refurbished Orpheum Theater as it prepared for its opening night gala. Its first major concert featured Wilco, and over the course of the year it hosted the memorial for Allen Toussaint, performances by the Louisiana Philharmonic Orchestra, classic movies, and concerts with The Meters, Kevin Gates, and G-Eazy. 

This fall, the Orpheum's schedule includes Kraftwerk, Flume, James Blake and David Sedaris, and it will kick off the season with its one-year anniversary show Saturday night presented by WWOZ. The show features Grammy-winner Jon Cleary and the Absolute Monster Gentlemen with a horn section made up of Aaron Fletcher, Craig Klein, and James Rivers. Other performers that night include Harry Shearer, Bryan Batt, Amanda Ducorbier, and Trixie Minx.
