Quickie Mart Remixes Sweet Crude Before The Landing

This weekend, both acts will play the Galactic-hosted festival on the Lakefront. Recently, they told Lauren Keenan's camera about how Quickie Mart's remix of the band's "Sweet Vilaine" came about.

Galactic will host and headline The Landing, a new festival that takes place Saturday and Sunday at South Shore Harbor on the Lakefront. Tonight, Tipitina’s will host pre-party with Galactic, The Soul Rebels, Honey Island Swamp Band, with special guest Anders Osborne.

Saturday, Galactic, Eagles of Death Metal, N.M.O., and Cake top the two stages at The Landing, while Sunday features Grace Potter, Dr. Dog, Trampled by Turtles and Lil Dicky, among others.

Quickie Mart will perform on Saturday, and this summer he remixed “Sweet Vilaine” by Sweet Crude, who will play on Sunday. Recently, Quickie Mart and Sweet Crude’s Marion Tortorich got together with our Lauren Keenan to talk about the remix process.
