Last week, photographer Steven Hatley shot the double bill of A Sunny Day in Glasgow and Cardinal Sons when they played Gasa Gasa. Here's his report.
SimplePlay presented the Philadelphia-based dream pop band A Sunny Day in Glasgow and the New Orleans-based indie band Cardinal Sons at Gasa Gasa on Tuesday night.
The brother trio Cardinal Sons opened about putting their best material at the end of the set, but the funny thing is all their material is wonderful to hear. Look for their latest single “Day of Summer” on iTunes.
The night’s main event, A Sunny Day in Glasgow, played mostly material off this year’s release, Sea When Absent. The material combines well with their previous releases, and the dual female vocals by Annie Frederickson and Jen Goma become an instrument to themselves at times during the set.
