Tickets to the Halloween weekend festival are on sale now.

I asked on Facebook who people thought would play the Voodoo Music + Arts Festival, and while others put their money on Childish Gambino, I bet on Florence + the Machine. Those who bet on Childish Gambino were right and I was wrong.

In my defense, I saw Childish Gambino as a possible headliner, but wasn’t sure that C3 Presents, which books ACL Festival as well as Voodoo, would book such a major headliner in two October festivals in roughly the same market—certainly within a day’s drive of each other for fans. It turns out, C3 signed a number of bands to both bills—Childish Gambino, Arctic Monkeys and Odesza in the top lines, and down the bill Janelle Monaé, Gryffin, Tinashe, Sofi Tukker, Elle King, Big Thief, Thunderpussy, and Wallows.

Still, Voodoo also has top liners Mumford and Sons, Martin Garrix and A Perfect Circle to itself when the festival celebrates its 20th anniversary October 26-28 at City Park.

In the spirit of anniversaries, the bill includes returning acts Modest Mouse, Marilyn Manson, Monaé, Zeds Dead, Awolnation, The Suffers, Unicorn Fukr and Carmine P. Filthy in addition to The Revivalists, 21 Savage, Tipper, Third Eye Blind, Rüfüs Du Sol, Ty Dolla $ign, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, Highly Suspect, AJR, Hippie Sabotage, Goldlink, Tom Misch, Troyboi, Lettuce, Kayzo, Boogie T.Rio (live band), Lizzo, Ravyn Lenae, Albert Hammond Jr., Shiba San, Poppy, Claptone, Space Jesus, White Reaper, Frenship, Dorothy, Anna Lunoe, Sunflower Bean, Nora En Pure, Droeloe, Mt. Joy, CloZee, Starcrawler, Eprom, The Coronas, Caamp, Loudpvck, Brother Sundance, CC Magree, Motel Radio, Cray, Jack Harlow, The O’My’s, Young Bombs, Dirtwire (DJ set), Swayló, Carmine P. Filthy, Unicorn Fukr, and Otto.
