The fifteenth-annual Voodoo Music + Arts Experience kicks off Friday morning in its new location on City Park's Festival Grounds. Headliners this year include Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, The Cure, Calvin Harris, Bassnectar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Afrojack, and Big Gigantic.

Jam band giants, Widespread Panic, play their final two Halloween shows at UNO Lakefront Arena, Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.

Special guests, Hugh Laurie and Joe Jackson, team up with local legends, including Jon Cleary, Donald Harrison, Jr., George Porter Jr., Mark Mullins, Shannon Powell, Detroit Brooks, and Tracy Griffin at Fess Fest 2013 in an effort to raise money for the restoration of Professor Longhair's home, Thursday, 8 p.m., at Tipitina's.
