People Say DJs Talk About Vinyl

At the People Say Project's Backyard Cut Session, our Lauren Keenan talked with DJs about their relationship to vinyl.

The People Say Project examines the intersection of commerce and culture in New Orleans, and we've been fortunate to have PSP's Brian Boyles contribute the occasional story (on Lil' Boosie and Wynton Marsalis). Earlier this summer, the project hosted its third annual Backyard Cut Session--a neighborhood party with DJs including Boyles spinning their vinyl favorites.

While there, our Lauren Keenan talked with DJ RQAway, DJ Rik Ducci and DJ Yamin about their relationships to vinyl, the cornerstone of DJ culture. It's the third video she's done. Earlier this summer, she also interviewed DJs Brice Nice and Tony Skratchere.
