The Voodoo Experience celebrates its 15th year by announcing its first 15 artists.

The Voodoo Experience turns 15 this year, and in honor of the milestone, today it announced 15 performers from this year's lineup including Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, Calvin Harris and Bassnectar. Voodoo returns to City Park November 1-3, this year on the new Festival Grounds. Weekend ticket and camping packages are on sale now.

The first 15 artists named to the Voodoo lineup are Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, Calvin Harris, Bassnectar, Paramore, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Afrojack, Boys Noize, The Gaslight Anthem, Big Gigantic, How To Destroy Angels, Cults, Alkaline Trio, Desaparecidos, and Robert DeLong. No word yet as to who will play what day.

As we speculated recently, Mike McCready's relationship with former New Orleans Saint Steve Gleason played a role in Pearl Jam's decision to play the festival. “New Orleans is one of the most musically and culturally rich cities in the world,” he said. “We've played some of our most memorable shows there and can't wait to return this November.  I am personally looking forward to seeing my friends Steve and Michel Gleason." The last time Pearl Jam played New Orleans was at Jazz Fest 2010, when Eddie Vedder addressed the then-breaking BP oil disaster story. "I'd like to make a toast to the fine folks at BP," he said. "Send your sons and daughters to clean up your fucking mess."
