The New Orleans singer signs with the Chicago label.

Today, Chicago's Bloodshot Records announced that it has signed Luke Winslow-King. The label made its reputation on "insurgent country," and while it still releases albums by Rosie Flores, The Waco Brothers and Kelly Hogan, it has broadened its horizons to include such artists as Firewater, Justin Townes Earle and now Winslow-King.

In March, they'll re-release The Coming Tide, the album released independently with Esther Rose earlier this year. I interviewed him about the album and his background in early June and have re-posted it below. He'll perform Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art.
