Bantam Foxes are in the last days of a Kickstarter project to help finance the release of their upcoming album, Triumph. Here's their pitch. For a preview, here's "Duplicity," a track they cut during the album sessions but left out of the running order for continuity reasons.

Kelcy Mae is also in the homestretch of a Kickstarter campaign to raise money to help fund two EPs to be released later in the year. To record them, she has enlisted the talents of Alex McMurray, Alexis Marceaux, The Revivalists' Andrew Campanelli and Alexandra Scott, with Jason Rhein (Rotary Downs) and Rick Nelson (Polyphonic Spree, The Afghan Whigs) co-producing with Kelcy.

AM and Shawn Lee will release their new album, La Musique Numerique, on May 7, and it includes this cool update of Joe Jackson's "Stepping Out." Covering a song from 1982 isn't exactly a gesture toward modernity, but their sound is less self-consciously retro than it was on their very good 2011 release, Celestial Electric, which bodes well for the rest of the album.
