Win Tickets to See Chelsea Light Moving
Thurston Moore brings his new project to One Eyed Jacks Tuesday.
Sonic Youth is on extended hiatus since Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon have divorced, but Moore, Gordon, and Lee Ranaldo have all released new musical projects this year. Moore's Chelsea Light Moving got its self-titled debut album to market first since it was released in the spring. It doesn't stray far from Moore's love of unusual tunings, punk rock, noise, and beat-era poetry, and many Sonic Youth fans will find it right in the sweet spot.
We'll have more on Chelsea Light Moving next week when they come to One Eyed Jacks to perform Monday night. For now, we're pleased to give away three pairs of tickets to the show. Register here for a chance to win. The contest closes Monday at noon.
