Voodoo News: Le Plur at Voodoo 2015
Our preview playlist for Voodoo's predominantly electronic stage.
The Le Plur stage is stacked at this year's Voodoo Music and Arts Experience this weekend at City Park. The predominantly electronic stage is presented by Hard, and there is no shortage of talent.
Heavy hitters include the superduo, Jack Ü, Swedish House Mafia vet Steve Angello, and legendary house DJ and producer, Eric Prydz. On Friday, Jauz is a smaller act that is poised to deliver. With a fusion of dubstep and future house, this Mad Decent producer pushes the boundary of sound and should put on an exceptional show. On Saturday, Duke Dumont will undoubtedly be spinning tracks from his new album, Blasé Boys Club Pt. 1. The first cut on the record, “Ocean Drive,” is a catchy '80s pop-synth riff on Dumont’s cultivated house sound, which I can’t wait to hear live. Finally, Quickie Mart will be holding down the Le Plur stage on Sunday with an eclectic set that will hopefully feature his recently released remix of 5th Ward Weebie’s, “Let Me Find Out.”
