In our most eclectic "Freshly Spilt Milk" yet, we have new music from A-Trak, Los Crema Paraiso, Vaadat Charigim and more!
1. “Cool” (A-Trak Remix) – Alesso: Within 30 seconds A-Trak demonstrates his production chops as he flips this relatively over-remixed single from Alesso into a dirty Daft Punk-esque, electro-funk banger.
2. “Intoxicated” (Zeds Dead Remix) – Martin Solveig x GTA: A foray into future house, with this remix of “Intoxicated,” Zeds Dead show the versatility that has become their hallmark. Zeds Dead will be a part of the GoHard show in Champions Square May 2.
3. “Thrill” (Porter Robinson Remix) – Nero: For this staccato, melodic rework of “Thrill,” dubstep legend Nero tapped up-and-comer, Porter Robinson. Robinson has progressed as an artist from early days of hard-hitting electro house to artistic, 16-bit masterpieces. This remix is evidence of his continuing march towards greatness.
4. “Driftwood” – Peptalk: An exploration of sound and aural space, Peptalk have crafted an intriguing piece that is ambient and lush, with elements of hip-hop and electronic pop.
5. “Hashiamum Shokea” - Vaadat Charigim: Recorded in Tel Aviv, this psychedelic track is the second release of Vaadat Charigim’s new album, Sinking as a Stone.
6. “Currucha Feat. Andrea Echeverri” - Los Crema Paraiso: For some global perspective we have a single from Los Crema Pariso’s forthcoming album, De película, due out on May 5. It’s a saucy Latin tune from the Venezuelan group who draw on a wide range of influences from electronica to psychedelic rock.
7. “Underground Railroad to Candyland” – The People Are Home: A toy piano and upbeat percussion aptly capture the nostalgia around the classic board game Candyland, and all the tinted sorrow that comes with it. This song is a tribute to childhood and longing.
8. “Play It Again Dick” – Sandwitches: Sandwitches are the all-female rock band that is steadily carving out a niche in the San Francisco indie scene. This shuffling alt-rock, Americana tune is as introspective and musing as the album it comes from. Our Toast is out now on Empty Cellar Records.
9. “Easter Island” – Tennis: This catchy new single from the Denver duo, Tennis, is a romantic call for escape that percolates through swaying percussion and pleasant guitar riffs. Tennis will be playing in New Orleans at Gasa Gasa on May 6.
