Anders Osborne will play the House of Blues on Friday, April 24, and we have two pairs of tickets to give away to the show.
Anders Osborne has spent much of the spring touring with the North Mississippi Allstars behind Freedom & Dreams, the album he recorded with the North Mississippi Allstars. According to Luther Dickinson:
"Anders' singing and songwriting I saw could enable us to play a style of music that we haven't been able to play since our father passed away," adds Dickinson, referring to the 2009 death of his father at the age of 67. "I wanted to let him carry us to that musical place and also I wanted to take him to that place that was so dear to us. I wanted to put him in a new light, so it's a great collaboration. He has the singing and the songs and we have a style and an aesthetic that I thought would work really well together."
Members of North Mississippi Allstars will be around for much of Jazz Fest playing with The Word, but they'll be in Wilkesboro, North Carolina at MerleFest on Friday, April 24 when Osborne plays the House of Blues, so the show and guitar heroics will belong to Osborne that night.
We have two pairs of tickets to give away to the show. Register here for a chance to win. The contest ends Thursday night at 5 p.m.
