Guns N’ Roses Play Themselves at Voodoo

Guns N’ Roses still deliver on their original promise. Since their 1987 debut Appetite for Destruction, the group has maintained its formulaically bad-boy persona. GNR was always a project of excess, of sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll with a punk bent. More than 30 years later, they’re reassuring fans that they’ve still got it on their reunion tour, "Not In This Lifetime." 

Voodoo: Death from Above 1979 Faces Death by Angry Driver

Death From Above 1979 have a different narrative arc than most bands. The Toronto-based drum and bass duo that plays The Voodoo Music Experience’s Saturday at 4:30 p.m. on Le Ritual released an album, You’re a Woman, I’m a Machine in 2004 to critical and commercial acclaim, toured, and broke up.

The Cure to Do Voodoo

The Cure join the lineup for this year's Voodoo Music Experience, which will take place November 1-3 on City Park's Festival Grounds. The reunited British band joins a festival that includes Pearl Jam, Nine Inch Nails, Calvin Harris, Bassnectar, Paramore, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Afrojack, Boys Noize, Shovels and Rope, The Revivalists, Matt and Kim, How to Destroy Angels, Dr. John and many more.
