Pandemic Playlists: Beyond Plastic Beach

[Note--While we're all on shut down, we're going to provide weekly playlists from My Spilt Milk contributors; this week's playlist comes from Marisa.]

Playlists are storytelling. Sometimes they’re focused in a certain genre, sometimes around a particular theme. There’s something I find particularly communal about this form of storytelling. You are telling a story with borrowed voices, weaving together personal associations and the unknown associations of anyone who listens.

Good To The Last Drop

As summer draws to a close, crank up the AC and the volume and listen to this week's "Freshly Spilt Milk" with hot new tracks from old favorites including Speedy Ortiz and The Tallest Man On Earth, as well as promising new artists like Toy Cars and Space Mountain.

Men of the Year

In this week's Freshly Spilt Milk, our playlist includes new music from rappers Jayaire Wooods and Lil Yachty, as well as tracks by house and techno classicists Erick Morillo and Kevin Saunderson, electronic music made from found sound in Senegal and Gambia, and remixes of Beck, The Crystal Method and Freddie Gibbs.
