My Brightest Diamond Does Math on the Dance Floor on "A Million and One"

Shara Nova has made beautiful and haunting music under many names; My Brightest Diamond is the one that stuck. She started making “chamber pop” or “art pop” in the early 2000s under the name AwRY and went on to write music for orchestral productions and collaborated with indie star Sufjan Stevens. In 2006, she started to release music under the name My Brightest Diamond.

Naughty Professor, Revivalists Preview New Albums with New Videos

Naughty Professor has followed in Galactic’s footsteps by establishing itself first as an instrumental funk band—one unafraid to show off its significant chops. Early next year, it will release its upcoming album, Identity, and for the occasion the band has branched out into the world of words. Chali 2na and The Revivalists’ Dave Shaw added their vocal talents to songs on the album, and the first single, “Stray,” features a passionate performance from Shaw.
