Lil Uzi Vert, Illenium, Noname Round Out Buku Lineup

The Buku Music and Art Project rounded out its lineup yesterday with the addition of Lil Uzi Vert, Illenium, Noname and another handful of names. The festival takes place March 9-10 at Mardi Gras World, and this year it rolled out its lineup in three phases. Late last year, Bassnectar, Migos, MGMT and SZA were among the dance and hip-hop artists already announced.

Buku Adds Migos, Virtual Self, A Day to Remember and More to 2018 Lineup

A month or so ago, the Buku Music and Art Project announced Bassnectar, MGMT, SZA, and 14 more acts that will be on the lineup when the festival returns to Mardi Gras World March 9 and 10. Today, Buku added Migos, Porter Robinson's Virtual Self, A Day to Remember, Rezz, Little Dragon, a DJ set from Bonobo and more.

Tuesday morning, the Voodoo Music and Arts Experience will release its talent lineup for this year’s festival. Voodoo will take October 27-29 in City Park, and this will be the second year that C3 Presents will produce Voodoo, which benefited from a more focused lineup with a more intuitive layout last year that addressed previous years' soundbleed issues. At a time when even the festival’s good years felt provisional, Voodoo 2016 raised the possibility that a corner had been turned.

Marshmello Keeps It Mello

Marshmello hides his identity on and off the stage. In public, he always wears a white marshmallow-shaped helmet to hide his face, much like Daft Punk or Deadmau5 do during their performances. He also wears all white from head to toe to better resemble an actual marshmallow. The surface of his white marshmallow-shaped helmet is covered with LED lights, which extends the light show to his head! The elements of mystery and 'cuteness' of the marshmallow costume made is meteoric rise viral.
