Voodoo News: A Long Last Look at a Shortened Voodoo

It was a shame to have Voodoo 2015 come to an early end with Sunday lost to rain and mud, but judging by the photos organizers posted on Facebook, the grounds were at least miserable if not dangerous. And, it’s hard to imagine who made the long, slow, precarious slog out through ankle-deep damp mud at the end of the night Saturday and didn’t ask themselves if anyone was worth another day of that.

Facebook's collective "meh" over the talent lineup for Voodoo 2015 left me wondering if the lineup really didn't work, or if my perception was skewed by comments I saw from--as best as I could tell--rock-oriented commenters. The lineup received more mixed reviews on Voodoo's Facebook page, but it wasn't until I went off-road to Twitter that I found real enthusiasm.

Florence + The Machine, Jack Ü, Ozzy and Friends, Deadmau5 and More Headline Voodoo 2015

The 17th edition of the Voodoo Music Experience presents perhaps its most eccentric top-line talent when it returns to City Park’s Festival Grounds October 30 to November 1. Florence + The Machine will headline, along with Diplo and Skrillex’s trap team-up Jack Ü, Ozzy Osbourne featuring Geezer Butler, Tom Morello and Slash, Jane’s Addiction, Zac Brown Band, and Deadmau5.
