Killa Cam and Friends Rub Shoulders with the Little People on All-Star Weekend

[Updated] The NBA All-Star Weekend was a series of increasingly surreal events, a bizarre juxtaposition of cultural crème de la crème and nitty-gritty New Orleans hustle. Saturday’s “Classics in the Courtyard” at Petite Bourbon—a Reebok and Footaction promo featuring Cam’ron, Teyana Taylor, Curren$y, and two converging second lines—epitomized the cultural mashup.

Everybody is a Star?

“These two adorable dorks make me smile.” This tweet from this weekend’s Wizard World Comic Con came with a photo Chris Evans (Captain America) and Hayley Attwell (Agent Carter) mugging, and while I get the “adorable” part—they’re both beautiful— but “dorks” eludes me. How did the fan know? Was she projecting, assuming that they were just like she is--but famous? Can you really know a celebrity by the 50 minutes he or she spends on a panel in front of a thousand or so people? 

Voodoo News: John Lydon's Public Image is Limiting

When the final version of the Voodoo announcement that Public Image Ltd. (Saturday, 8:15 p.m., Carnival) would be a part of this year’s festival, it included a quote from John Lydon: “All you Voodoo people would do best to bring a gas mask. I'm going to fart continuously. P.S: I want to see Donald Trump misrepresented with the greatest possible glee throughout New Orleans on Halloween night.”

Lil Wayne Wants to Spend the Night in Paris

Fans of Lil Wayne would like a reason to believe that the Weezy circa Tha Carter II and III still lives somewhere in him. A sure measure that that still isn't happening: ending up on TMZ.com. How does he end up there? By collaborating with Paris Hilton. The celebrity website has assembled its own video to accompany "Last Night," a track by Afrojack rumored to have been originally intended for her that showed up on Pitbull's Global Warming album.
