For the second year, Buku has turned over curation of its Front Porch Stage to local groups. The stage is between the Float Den and the parking lot in an intimate space, and here’s our incomplete list of who we know will perform there.

Community Records will open the stage Friday at 4 p.m. with a couple of hours of rock—the electronic variety from Shark’s Teeth, female punk from Gland, and the fuzzy post-Pavement All People.

Community will be followed the Bayou International Soundsystem with reggae, dancehall and Afrobeat from 6:45 to 9:15. DJ T-Roy, DJ Hooligan, and DJ Silva will perform.

Dohm Collective closes the stage for Friday, performing from 9:30 to 12:30. The group of friends came together as travelers who went from festival to festival, staying in a geodesic dome that became the center for creative experiences. C-LAB, Klutch, LoMeyn and Zupparty will perform.

On Saturday, Upbeat Academy instructors and students will perform from 3:30 to 4:45. Upbeat Academy helps underprivileged and at-risk youths express themselves through electronic music and hip-hop. Ziggmonster, ANSWRS and WXRXSHXP will perform, as will some of the students.

The New Movement will take over from 5 to 6:30. The showcase itself will be an extended exercise in improv comedy hosted by TNM New Orleans’ co-founder Chris Trew. “I'm going to be doing some crowd work games,” he says. “We have a ‘festival guru’ on deck to give people advice, and my ‘grandma’ will be there to challenge the audience in artist trivia. Stuff like that!”

The Techno Club Showcase runs from 6:45 to 9:15, and includes performances by Tristan Dufrene (who played Buku last year) at 6:45, Rye at 7:30, and Javier Prada at 8:15.

Saint Heron closes the Front Porch Saturday with its showcase from 9:30 to 12:30. Saint Heron is a home for progressive, adventurous R&B, and it will feature a DJ set by Like of Pac Div, DJ Zo, and Kyle Woods.
